DAY 1 – MEDAN AIRPORT / HOTEL → BUKIT LAWANG

Upon arrival at Kualanamu International Airport (KNO) or pick-up from your hotel in Medan, our driver will transfer you to Bukit Lawang.

• Driving time: 3–4 hours

• Route: Binjai town and traditional villages

Arrival in Bukit Lawang, check-in at your hotel, and free time to relax.

Overnight in Bukit Lawang.

DAY 2 – ORANGUTAN SUMATRA RAINFOREST TREKKING (DAY 1)

After breakfast at 09:00 AM, our certified English-speaking jungle guides from Orangutan Sumatra Rainforest will meet you at your hotel.

Start a 6–7 hour jungle trek inside Gunung Leuser National Park, one of the last natural habitats of wild orangutans.

During the trek, you may encounter:

• Sumatran orangutans

• Thomas leaf monkeys

• Gibbons

• Long-tailed macaques

• Tropical birds, insects, and rainforest plants

Jungle Lunch & Campsite

Enjoy a jungle lunch with fresh tropical fruits, followed by a short walk to the campsite near the river.

At the campsite you can:

• Swim and bathe in the river

• Relax and enjoy the surrounding rainforest

• Enjoy complimentary tea, coffee, and snacks

In the evening, our team will prepare a traditional jungle dinner, which may include rice, vegetables, chicken, tempeh, and chili sauce.

After dinner, enjoy fun interactive group games before resting for the night.

DAY 3 – ORANGUTAN SUMATRA RAINFOREST TREKKING (DAY 2) & TUBE RAFTING

After breakfast prepared by the team, continue trekking through the rainforest.

During today’s trek, you will:

• Learn about medicinal and herbal jungle plants

• Observe wildlife such as endangered orangutans, white-handed gibbons, monkeys, snakes, monitor lizards, and other exotic species

The trek typically lasts 4–5 hours.

Jungle Lunch & Return

Our team will prepare lunch with locally sourced fresh fruit.

After lunch, return to Bukit Lawang village by traditional tube rafting along the river, ending directly at your guesthouse.

Overnight in Bukit Lawang.

DAY 4 – BUKIT LAWANG → MEDAN AIRPORT / HOTEL

After breakfast, transfer back to Kualanamu International Airport (KNO) or your hotel in Medan.

Our team will prepare lunch with locally sourced fresh fruit.

After lunch, return to Bukit Lawang village by traditional tube rafting along the river.

Transfer to Medan

• 2:00–3:00 PM: Transfer back to Medan airport or hotel

• Arrival in Medan in the late afternoon / early evening
