Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival in Medan – Transfer to Bukit Lawang

Pick up from Medan Airport (KNO) or your hotel. Travel by private air-conditioned vehicle to Bukit Lawang (approximately 4 hours).
After check-in, enjoy free time to relax, swim in the river, or walk to a nearby local village.

Day 2 – Sumatra Rainforest Trekking (Day 1)

After breakfast, at 09:00 AM, our professional jungle guides will meet you at your hotel. Begin a 6–7 hour rainforest trek deep into Gunung Leuser National Park.
You may encounter wildlife such as orangutans, Thomas leaf monkeys, gibbons, long-tailed macaques, tropical birds, and diverse plant life.

Lunch and fresh tropical fruits are served in the jungle. Continue trekking to the campsite, where you can swim in the river and enjoy the surrounding natural beauty.
In the evening, enjoy complimentary tea, coffee, snacks, and a freshly prepared dinner including rice, vegetables, chicken, tempeh, and local chili sauce. Optional group activities before resting overnight in the jungle.

Day 3 – Sumatra Rainforest Trekking (Day 2)

After breakfast at camp, continue trekking through the rainforest while learning about medicinal plants and jungle survival knowledge.
With some luck, you may see endangered orangutans, white-handed gibbons, snakes, monitor lizards, monkeys, and other unique wildlife.

After a 4–5 hour trek, enjoy lunch with fresh local fruit. Return to Bukit Lawang either:

• On foot through the jungle, or

• By traditional tube rafting down the river (optional)

Day 4 – Bukit Lawang – Berastagi Highlands

Travel to Berastagi (5–6 hours). Along the way, stop at Lumbhini Natural Park and the local fruit market.
Overnight stay in Berastagi with cool mountain climate.

Day 5 – Mount Sibayak Sunrise – Lake Toba – Samosir Island

Early morning departure at 04:00 AM to hike Mount Sibayak and watch the sunrise from the volcano summit.
Continue to Sipiso-piso Waterfall, then travel to Lake Toba, the world’s largest volcanic lake.
Cross by ferry to Samosir Island and stay overnight.

Day 6 – Samosir Island Cultural Tour

After breakfast, explore Samosir Island. Visit Ambarita Village (stone chairs), Simanindo Village, Batak Museum, and enjoy a traditional Batak dance performance at 10:30 AM.
Visit a local village to see Ulos (Batak traditional textile) weaving. Return to your accommodation in the afternoon.

Day 7 – Samosir Island – Medan Airport

After breakfast, transfer back to Medan Airport (KNO) for departure.
