This tour combines Bukit Lawang orangutan trekking, ethical elephant experiences in Tangkahan, volcano sunrise hikes, and immersive Batak culture on Samosir Island. Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival in Medan – Transfer to Bukit Lawang

Meet your driver at Medan Airport (KNO) or hotel and travel by private air-conditioned vehicle to Bukit Lawang (approx. 4 hours).
After check-in, enjoy free time to relax, swim in the river, or explore the local village.

Day 2 – Orangutan Jungle Trekking (Gunung Leuser National Park)

At 09:00 AM, start a full-day guided trek into the UNESCO-listed Gunung Leuser National Park.
Spot semi-wild orangutans, gibbons, monkeys, exotic birds, and tropical flora. Enjoy jungle lunch and tubing rafting back to Bukit Lawang.

Day 3 – Tangkahan Elephant Experience

Travel to Tangkahan, known as the “Hidden Paradise of Sumatra.”
Enjoy river relaxation, natural hot springs, waterfalls, and an ethical elephant trekking and washing experience with professional mahouts. Return to Bukit Lawang in the afternoon.

Day 4 – Bukit Lawang – Berastagi Highlands

Drive to Berastagi (5–6 hours), stopping at Lumbhini Natural Park and the colorful local fruit market.
Overnight in the cool mountain climate of Berastagi.

Day 5 – Mount Sibayak Sunrise – Lake Toba – Samosir Island

Early morning hike to the summit of Mount Sibayak to watch sunrise over the volcano.
Continue to Sipiso-piso Waterfall before arriving at Lake Toba, the largest volcanic lake in the world. Ferry crossing to Samosir Island for overnight stay.

Day 6 – Samosir Island Cultural Exploration

Discover Batak heritage with visits to Ambarita Stone Chairs, Simanindo Village, Batak Museum, and a traditional dance performance (10:30 AM).
Visit a local Ulos weaving village before returning to your hotel.

Day 7 – Departure to Medan Airport

After breakfast, transfer back to Medan Airport (KNO) for departure.
