🗓️ Day 1 – Into the Jungle & Riverside Camping

After breakfast at 09:00 AM, your certified English-speaking guide will meet you at your guesthouse in Bukit Lawang. We begin our journey with a 6–7 hour trek into the heart of the rainforest.

Along the way, your guide will introduce you to the flora and fauna of Gunung Leuser, explaining traditional uses of jungle plants and medicinal trees. Wildlife sightings may include wild orangutans, Thomas’ leaf monkeys, white-handed gibbons, siamangs, long-tailed and pig-tailed macaques, as well as birds such as hornbills and peacocks.

In the late afternoon, we set up camp beside a small river deep in the jungle. Enjoy free time swimming, helping prepare dinner, or learning basic jungle survival skills. Fall asleep to the natural sounds of the rainforest.

🗓️ Day 2 – Wildlife Trek & Waterfall Camp

After breakfast, we continue trekking deeper into the jungle, focusing on orangutan behavior, lifestyle, and social interactions. Throughout the day, we keep an eye out for wildlife and enjoy the untouched rainforest environment.

In the afternoon, we reach Jambur Batu Atas, a remote campsite near a beautiful waterfall with a deep natural pool. This is the perfect place to relax, swim, and refresh after a full day of trekking.

🗓️ Day 3 – River Trek & Mount Uning Camp

After breakfast, we follow the river further into the jungle. Along the way, we may spot animals drinking at the riverbanks and collect jungle vegetables for dinner.

Our campsite for the night is at Mount Uning, located on flat terrain. If weather permits, your guide will take you for a short exploration walk around the area, where you may spot deer and other wildlife rarely seen by visitors.

🗓️ Day 4 – Deep Jungle Exploration & Alur Perak Camp

On Day 4, the adventure continues deeper into the rainforest. We trek through valleys, hills, and small rivers, learning about the habitats of animals such as tigers, elephants, wild pigs, sun bears, deer, and other elusive jungle species.

Our campsite is set up at Alur Perak, a natural watering hole often visited by wildlife. This remote jungle camp offers a truly authentic rainforest experience.

🗓️ Day 5 – Jungle Trek & River Tubing Return

After breakfast, we enjoy a short final jungle trek before concluding the adventure with a fun traditional tube rafting experience down the Bohorok River.

As we float downstream back to Bukit Lawang, you may spot monkeys, monitor lizards, birds, and other wildlife along the riverbanks. The rafting ends directly at your village accommodation.
